Math update

We started a new topic on Addition within 40.
We learnt how to add 2 digit number to a 1 digit number without regrouping today (vertical addition). You must practise this at home in order to be good at it.
We will have a class challenge tomorrow using your mini whiteboard to check if you have understood on adding 2 digit number to a 1 digit number.

All of you had fun playing with the' tens' and 'ones' number disc today. This is to reinforce your understanding on place values. Below are some pictures taken in class :)

1. Do your Free Writing on 'My June Holidays'

2. Some of you need more practice on 'Tens and Ones'. Try to challenge yourself to solve mentally math questions on tens and ones. For example

• 3 tens 2 ones = 32
• 1 ten 5 ones = 15
• 2 tens 8 ones = 28
• 15 ones = 15
• 2 tens 2 ones + 4 ones = 26
• 3 tens - 8 ones = 22

Welcome to Term 3. I hope you all had a great holiday.. I'm sure you did, after listening to your interesting stories today in class..:)

Just a reminder. Remember to pass the following to your parents.

1, Due to the MERS outbreak in Korea, the school needs all parents to respond, even if you have not travelled. A NIL reply is needed. Please fill in the form and submit tomorrow.

2. There are some changes to the timetable. I have given the new Timetable to the class today.
