Our Learning Journey to the Zoo - 3 March 2015 ( Tuesday)

Dear children,

All of us were excited to see the animals in the zoo. At the zoo, we walked with our partners. We went to the Otter enclosure but the otters were not there. Maybe they were still sleeping. When we visited the Treetop Trails, we heard the forest choir. It was a monkey calling its friend. Some of us felt scared when we heard the sound. We also saw some young monkeys swinging from tree to tree.

We walked past some beautiful flamingos. Then, we  boarded the tram. The tram ride was fun. We saw zebras, giraffes, hippos, rhinoceroses but we did not get to see the lions :(. Perhaps, they were hiding.

By then, all of us were hungry and we headed to the Splash Safari amphitheater to have our light meals. We had a wonderful time enjoying our recess time!
Right after food, we watched the Splash Safari Show. The sea lion dived and glided gracefully through the water. The show was amazing.

After the show, we went to the Rainforest Kidzworld. We met the ponies, horses, donkeys and most interesting of all , we fed the goats.

Next, we saw the Chimpanzees and the Mandrills. Many of us were excited to see the Mandrill's distinct characteristics. Very interesting! Then , we met the Big Nosed monkeys , the adorable penguins ,the gorgeous pelicans, the frogs and toads and finally we walked past the polar bear. The polar bear was hiding at one corner and it seemed very sad.

Finally, we boarded the bus back to school. We were so tired but happy because we had a fun day. We are grateful for the good weather today. We would also like to thank  Auntie MeiFang and Auntie Helen for joining us today. We wish we can go to the zoo again!
